Effective July 1, 2014, the California Energy Commission adopted changes to the California Building Efficiency Standards
(California Title 24, Parts 1 and 6), which is the building design code for new or altered projects. Prior to obtaining an occupancy permit, testing must be done to the lighting and lighting controls to verify that it is installed and functioning as per plan.
